Dividing group of objects into set of categories.


A method by which an object is labeled and thus grouped to belong into a class of objects, or a category.


A former name of Connexor Oy. The name was changed to Connexor to avoid confusion with totally unrelated Swedish firm Conexor AB.


A Finnish software company founded in 1997.

Controlled language

A type of (sub-)language, where vocabulary, grammar and style are controlled by specific guidelines. Connexor technology can be used to check that a text conforms with the guidelines of a specific controlled language.


Plural: corpora.
A corpus is a collection of text documents. The collection is often annotated with linguistic information to be better suited for the purposes of linguistic research.

Corpus Linguistics

A field in linguistics where the study of language is based on analysing corpora.
